Everything you were wondering but didn't want to ask yet.
Straight answers, no jargonFrequently asked questions
This is where you can find out more about how SeaGlass Digital works, from pricing to process to what happens after a project ends. If there's something we haven't answered below, just ask.
Ask us directlyIs my business the right fit for this?
There's no fixed size or sector we work with. It depends on the challenges that need solving, not your headcount or turnover. If you're big enough to be drowning in admin but too small for a head office, that's usually the sweet spot. The best way to find out is to talk it through.
What happens after I get in touch?
We start by gathering information and identifying where we believe AI can help the most. From there, we send a short recommendation proposal, then connect to review it together and agree the project before any work begins.
How much does this cost?
During the initial conversation we work out the scale and complexity of the job together, and agree the cost upfront, with no hidden surprises. We keep costs to a minimum by using proven steps and AI tooling wherever we can.
How long does an engagement take?
It varies hugely: some projects are a simple one or two day session, others run six to eight weeks depending on size and complexity. Whatever the scope, we minimise your time and are upfront about what's needed right from the start.
Do we need to meet in person?
We like to connect face to face wherever possible, but we know how busy small business owners are, so we're just as happy over Zoom or on the phone. Every customer is different, so we agree the format that works for you at the start.
Do I need to know anything about AI already?
No background required. There's a lot of noise about AI right now and you don't need to have followed any of it. We explain everything in plain English, and no question is too basic to ask.
Will AI take my job?
No. And if anyone's selling you "AI that replaces your team," walk away. AI isn't new, and it's not something to be scared of. Strip away the hype and it's really just a very advanced search engine, one that can have a conversation with you instead of waiting for the right keywords. Used well, it connects the dots between the systems and admin you're already juggling, so you're not switching between five different tools to do one thing. It's not going to take your role away. It's going to make the everyday parts of it easier, so you've got the time and headspace back for the bigger picture: the actual client, the actual problem, the person in front of you.
What happens to my business data?
That gets agreed with you before any work starts, as part of settling how we'll work together. Every business is different. Some are comfortable with certain information going into a tool, others aren't, and some sectors have rules of their own to meet. So rather than assume, we go through what data is actually involved, where it would go, and what you're happy with. Nothing gets connected to an AI tool that hasn't been agreed with you first. We work within UK GDPR, and if you have your own policies or obligations, we work to those too.
What if AI isn't the right answer for my business?
Then we'll tell you plainly. Our job isn't to sell you AI for the sake of it. It's to find the two or three places it could genuinely help, and be honest if the answer is that it can't.
What happens after the project ends?
You own everything we build, and there's no annual lock-in or ongoing contract. After every engagement we check in to make sure everything's working well, and if you'd like ongoing support later, we agree that approach at the time.
